Two years old!

January 20th. Jonas and Jember's 2nd birthday!


Can anyone believe that these two, funny nutty little people are turning 2?

We'll some days we can barely believe it ourselves. I mean, who are these two little people? Running around, dancing in the living room, making play dough art, coloring, babbling funny little words, and swimming in my bathtub? Who are these little imps with these big personalities? We can't believe you are 2!





But, on other days.. When the tempers are tantrumming, their special use of language has focused on the words "ME. MINE. NO. NO. NO", playdough is being thrown, crayon marks are on the walls and sit-ins are being staged... We'll...on those days we can ABSOLUTELY believe that Jonas and Jember are indeed... turning 2.




Ah well. Whether its the terrible 2's or the terrific 2's, we want to celebrate our toddlers 2nd birthday. We start making plans for a little two-year old birthday party. Nothing too big. Just some friends and maybe a cupcake or two.

Alas. It seems that Nature had other plans. First Jember, then Jonas caught the flu. Birthday week involved high fevers, coughing, and 2 children with ear infections.

Sigh. But on the eve of their birthday, they perked up a bit. So we decided to celebrate a little.

We held a little evening with cupcakes and singing.
